Vitex agnus-castus (chasteberry) is a fruit of the chaste tree, sometimes called the women's herb. It is used for menstrual cycle irregularities, treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, and symptoms of menopause. It is also used for treating lumpy (fibrocystic) breasts, female infertility, preventing miscarriage, and increasing breast milk. Voted agnus-cactus is also used to treat hormonal acne, nervousness, dementia, headaches and migraine.
